Starting April, Schengen visa holders can visit Bulgaria and Romania, following the EU’s December 2023 ruling. The Schengen system now includes these countries, with streamlined online visa applications launching soon. This digital visa will replace traditional stickers and requires biometric registration. The updated visa code from February 2 mandates certain conditions for obtaining a Schengen Visa, allowing multiple entries over five years, adhering to the 90/180-day rule.
This recent development allows Indian citizens to request a multiple-entry Schengen visa with extended duration. The European Commission made this decision on April 18, enacting precise regulations regarding the issuance of multiple-entry visas to individuals from India.
Indian nationals are now eligible for long-term multi-entry Schengen visas lasting up to two years,
